Johnny Manziel is back in football, but to make his comeback he left the U.S. and headed north.
Manziel, a former Heisman trophy winner and Cleveland Browns quarterback, made his Canadian Football League debut on Friday night.
Manziel, who now plays for the Tiger-Cats of Hamilton, Ontario, completed 9 of 11 passes for 80 yards, but those did not result in any points for his team, ESPN reports.

Two of Manziel’s plays ended in third-down sacks, which according to ESPN is the equivalent of a fourth-down sack in the NFL. Manziel told reporters that he is still adjusting to differences in rules and timing between the NFL and the Canadian league.
Here’s how fans responded to Manziel’s debut in Canada:

Johnny Manziel’s postgame press conference impressed me. Sounded like a more mature version of himself. Hopefully the CFL works well for him.
