Middletown-based National Guard unit returns home

After nearly a year on active duty, Middletown’s Ohio National Guard unit returned home today.

The 324th Military Police Company arrived early this morning at Franklin High School.

The unit is returning from its deployment at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

A motorcade that included police, fire and military vehicles escorted the unit to the high school.

A public welcoming ceremony started at 9 a.m. in the high school’s auditorium at 750 E. Fourth St.
