Customers who have Time Warner and AT&T Cable were still able to view the station while the digital signal was down.
Harry Delaney, the station’s vice president and general manager, said Sunday that a technical glitch caused the problem.
The station first began experiencing intermittent problems at about 11 a.m. Sunday, Delaney said. By 1:30 p.m., the station stopped transmitting a signal through regular antennas and satellite providers, Delaney said.
Station engineers worked throughout the weekend and were able to identify the source of the problem and installed temporary stand-by equipment early Monday morning. The signal was restored about 5 a.m., according to the Web site.
Station engineers are continuing to work on the transmission problem and will be replacing the temporary equipment with permanent replacements as soon as possible. Until then, viewers will notice the digital signal is being broadcast in a 4x3 format.
