Victim in Springfield shooting not cooperating, police say

UPDATE @ 10:47 p.m.: A male found shot in the leg was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center and is not cooperating with police, a Springfield lieutenant said.

The victim was found outside, on the sidewalk, and police have no witnesses and no suspects, the officer said.

The victim’s condition was not known.

Springfield police are investigating a shooting reported in the area of Elder Street and Selma Road.

A police lieutenant reports that the incident occurred about 9:45 p.m. and that police are looking to establish the scene of the shooting.
