If you haven’t had the chance to sit down and watch a TV series on Netflix, now is your chance. Residents can watch Springfield native, Justin Chambers, in Grey’s Anatomy. Chambers, a Southeastern High School graduate, played Dr. Alex Karev on the show, but recently left the series.
3. Board games
Turn having to stay at home into a family game night by playing board games like Monopoly or Scrabble.
4. Complete a puzzle
Enhance your brain activity by completing a puzzle. Who is up for an 1,000 piece puzzle?
5. Cook
Give a new recipe a try with what you already have in your pantry.
6. Exercise
Bring the gym to your home by seeing if your trainer or instructor is offering classes online. Two Springfield businesses, Dance Fusion and Dance Tone, offer online dance fitness and toning classes through Facebook.
7. Read a book
Visit The Ohio Digital Library to check out ebooks or audiobooks.
8. Video chat with friends and family
Residents practicing social distancing beyond six feet, can use several online tools to talk to friends and family members. Online tools include FaceTime, Skype or Google Hangout.
9. Virtually explore a national park
The National Park Service is offering virtual tours of parks around the United States. Residents can visit several main attractions of parks including Yellowstone National Park.
10. Visit museums all around the world
Google Arts & Culture provides virtual museum tours from museums all around the world. Online exhibits from museums in Cincinnati and Columbus are included.
