Things to do in Clark County as temperatures warm this weekend

As temperatures warm up this weekend, here are things to do in Clark County.

Winter Hike

Residents will learn how to identify Ohio’s trees this winter during a hike, 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at George Rogers Clark Park, 930 S. Tecumseh Road in Springfield.

Tom Hissong, an Ohio naturalist, will lead the hike and teach residents how to identify trees by looking at the bark and buds.

Participants are to meet at Demint Shelter at the bottom of the park.

Auction

Paranzino Auctioneers, a building materials and remodeling supply auction company, will hold an auction from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 4401 S. Charleston Pike in Springfield.

Previews of the items being auctioned will start at 7:30 a.m. Items include kitchen cabinet sets, interior and exterior doors, flooring, and many other home-remodeling items.

Beer Fest

Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co. will host a barrel-aged beer fest, 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 102 W. Columbia St. in Springfield.

Barrel-aged beers will include Branch & Bone Artisan Ales, Warped Wing Brewing Company, Yellow Springs Brewery, Little Fish Brewing Company, Listermann Brewing Company, Alematic Artisan Ales, Fifth Street Brewpub, Hairless Hare Brewery and The Dayton Beer Company.

Tasting tickets will be sold as desired.

There will be music from Abbey Bower and The American Landscape.

Dinner with The Daydreamers

J&J’s Phat Head Foods will present a dinner with The Daydreamers, 8 p.m. Saturday at Club Panama, 951 James St. in Springfield.

This is a free show and dinner is included. The dinner will feature chicken and waffles.
