The Peach Truck to make stops in New Carlisle, Springfield

The Peach Truck from Nashville, Tennessee is making two stops in Clark County next month with a few procedural changes due to COVID-19.

“To keep you and our team safe, move the lines even faster, and create an even more remarkable experience, we’ve moved exclusively to pre-orders,” The Peach Truck said in a Facebook post.

The Georgia peaches will be available at Meadow View Growers, 755 N. Dayton-Lakeview Road in New Carlisle from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 and at Rural King, 1476 Upper Valley Pike in Springfield from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.

Before visiting the pick-up location, residents should visit www.thepeachtruck.com to place a pre-order. Customers will choose between The Special, two 25-pound boxes of peaches and two bags of pecans, for $100, one 25-pound box of peaches for $43 or a 10-ounce bag of pecans for $10.

The Peach Truck decided to move exclusively to pre-orders to “eliminate hand-to-hand contact” during the coronavirus pandemic, The Peach Truck’s website explained.

For customers that would rather have home delivery, The Peach Truck will continue to offer several different delivery options.

The idea behind The Peach Truck began when founder Stephen Rose moved to Nashville in 2010 and discovered that he could not find peaches similar to the ones he grew up eating throughout his childhood in Georgia. Two years later, he and his wife, Jessica, began selling peaches out of their truck to Nashville residents and then their business soon grew to various states.

“This summer is going to be an absolute blast,” the Facebook post said. “If you can’t tell, we’re giddy.”

The Peach Truck will make additional stops in Beavercreek, Dayton, Fairborn, Hamilton, Huber Heights, Kettering, Miamisburg, Middletown, Troy, and Xenia.
