Springfield man indicted on sex charges involving a child under 13

A Springfield man has been indicted on charges stemming from allegations he inappropriately touched a child under the age of 13.

Zander Thomas, 33, was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court this week on two counts of gross sexual imposition. As of Thursday afternoon, Thomas was not listed as an inmate at the Clark County Jail.

According to an affidavit filed in Thomas’ case, the victim was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center on Feb. 7.

At the center, she told investigators that Thomas was “tickling her legs and stomach and he unbuttoned her jeans,” touching her inappropriately under her clothes, the affidavit said.

Thomas was arrested on Feb. 10 after he was admitted to investigators the incident the victim described had occurred.

The next court date in Thomas’ case has not yet been scheduled. Other indictments include:
