SEE OTHERS INDICTED THIS WEEK: These 19 people were indicted in Clark County
Eubank was arrested on March 4 after the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center was informed by a deputy that Eubank “had been going around taking pictures of deputies, parking and watching them from a distance and made comments in reference deputies being lucky he had not shot them,” according to an affidavit filed in Eubank’s case.
The deputy spotted Eubank’s car driving towards Dayton Road and briefly followed him, but did not initiate a traffic stop, the affidavit said. Afterward, all units were advised, as well as the Springfield Police Divison, to be on the lookout for Eubank in regards to officer safety, the affidavit said.
Shortly after this occurred, Eubank began posting on his Twitter account, the affidavit said.
“YOU WAIT! I’LL BE DOWN AT THE COURTHOUSE AT 8 A.M. WHERE A FEW ARE GONNA GET SMOKED,” Eubank’s tweet allegedly said. “MIGHT AS WELL SMOKE ONE SINCE I GOT ACCUSED OF IT. COURT, ODJFS, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.”
After the tweets went out, sheriff’s office units began patrolling in and around the courthouse building, the affidavit said.
“While patrolling in the area (a sheriff’s office sergeant) witnessed a subject fitting the description of Jackie Eubank walking up to a court building. He observed this subject turn around and then walk back towards a vehicle,” the affidavit said.
