Springboro spa abruptly closes doors

Hausfelds has been the subject of bankruptcy and other lawsuits.

SPRINGBORO — Hausfeld’s Salon & Day Spa, an upscale beauty salon in Springboro, abruptly closed its doors Monday.

On Tuesday, a sign on the door of Hausfeld’s Springboro shop said, “Hausfelds has closed effective Dec. 12.” The salon operated spas in Springboro and Centerville. Its location at The Greene Town Center closed in May. Hausfeld also operated an academy at the Springboro location and in Sugarcreek Twp, according to the company’s website.

Owner Bobbie Hausfeld could not be reached for comment Tuesday, and telephone numbers listed for her businesses indicated they were no longer working.

Court records in Montgomery, Greene and Warren counties indicate Hausfeld and her businesses have been the subject of bankruptcy, collection actions and other lawsuits in recent years.

Hausfeld filed for bankruptcy in May 2008, according to court records. On Dec. 1, a federal bankruptcy court lifted its stay on a foreclosure sought by PNC Mortgage on Hausfeld’s home, according to court records.
