Shuttle from former Kroger location to continue through end of May

A free shuttle service to the Kroger on East Main Street will continue through June 3.

The Abilities Connection made that announcement Thursday afternoon.

“It’s been an honor to serve the wonderful people of Springfield,” TAC CEO Jim Zahora said in a release. “This shuttle demonstrates how well the community can rally together to solve problems.”

A partnership between TAC and the city of Springfield, the shuttle has run three days a week since March 7 following Kroger’s decision to close its location on South Limestone.

It runs from that location to the location on East Main Street on Wednesdays in the afternoon from 4:30-8 and from 1-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
