Officials at Children Services said they didn’t know why Lhamon would take her foster mother’s van or why she would be in Clark County. They also said there wasn’t an immediate crisis that would prompt this kind of incident.

Lhamon loved basketball, music and reading, according to her obituary. She leaves behind two sisters, who are also in foster care.
