Man killed in Clark County motorcycle crash identified

UPDATE @ 3:20 p.m.

State troopers have identified a man killed in a motorcycle crash on Huntington Road in Clark County as David Yost, 76, of London, Ohio.

Investigators said Yost was traveling east on Huntington Road when he went off the side of the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Yost was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash. State troopers said Yost was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

UPDATE @ 12:20 p.m.

State troopers said a motorcyclist, identified as a man in his 70s, died at the scene of the crash on Huntington Road.

Investigators said the man went off the side of the road for an unknown reason and crashed into a tree line.
Huntington Road is blocked in both directions for the crash investigation.

The man’s identity was not release pending notification of family.

FIRST REPORT

State troopers and medics have been dispatched to a crash with serious injuries reported on Huntington Road east of South Charleston in Clark County Friday.

Emergency units were dispatched to the report around 11:30 a.m. in the 12000 block of Huntington Road in Madison Twp., Clark County on a reported crash involving a motorcyclist.

CRIME: Man shot, killed in apparent home invasion

Initial reports indicate at least one person suffered serious injuries in the crash.
