Power restored to customers in the Miami Valley after rain, wind

Numerous power outages were reported as rain and wind hit the Miami Valley Saturday.

A Wind Advisory will be in effect from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday for the following counties: Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, Union, and Wayne (IN).

At it’s peak, nearly 2,000 Dayton Power & Light customers were without power. Power has been restored to nearly all DP&L and Duke Energy customers as of Sunday morning.

As of 7:25 a.m., reported outages according to the online map are as followed:

  • Greene - 1
  • Preble - 3
  • Mercer - 2
  • Montgomery -8
