Police have not been able to determine if a shot was fired, however officers located a gun inside the house when SWAT units entered the duplex Sunday afternoon.
Multiple canisters of pepper and tear gas were fired inside the house and forced Abston to eventually surrender, Graf said.
During the standoff, a family living in the other side of the duplex was evacuated. Graf said there was no damage to the family’s side of the duplex and they were allowed to return inside shortly after the standoff ended.
Abston will face several charges stemming from both the domestic incident and the standoff. He will be booked into the Clark County Jail, but his mugshot was not immediately available.
No police or SWAT crews were injured during the incident.
