Ohio BCI to investigate officer-involved shooting at Buck Creek State Park

More information is expected to be released today on the officer-involved shooting that occurred at Buck Creek State Park Sunday night.

Several law enforcement officials were at the park, located at 1976 Buck Creek Lane, for the shooting which occurred near the visitor’s center around 6:30 p.m., according to Chief Deputy Jeff Meyer with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

One person was injured in the incident, but the officer wasn’t harmed, Meyer said.

Neither the name nor the condition of the individual who was shot were released and it’s unclear what led to the shooting.

Meyer said the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation will lead the investigation into the incident.
