Married couples can win second honeymoon during local 'Newlywed Game'

Nominations sought for contestants who have been married at least 2 years.

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Marriage Network is seeking nominations for local married couples to participate in a fund-raising program with the winner receiving a second honeymoon.

The Marriage Resource Center of the Miami Valley is hosting the event as a fund-raiser for Healthy Marriage in Clark County.

The group is holding a “Newlywed Game” Nov. 5 at Shawnee Place Apartments.

Four couples will compete in the game in front of a live audience, three of them chosen by voting next week on SpringfieldNewsSun.Com and a fourth pulled from the audience.

To nominate, send by Oct. 17 information to the Marriage Resource Center, 19 South Fountain Ave., Springfield, OH 45502. That information includes:

• Couples must be married for at least two years — provide date of marriage

• Resident of Clark County — include-self addressed stamped envelope

• Submit a G-rated photo of the couple

• Answer the question, “We deserve a second honeymoon because.”
