Sheer Dance Studio in Springfield, Ohio

Virginia Bott Sheer was a dance teacher in Dayton in the early 1930s. Around 1935, she and her husband George moved to Springfield, where she opened the Sheer Dance Studio on the second floor of the I.O.O.F Union Hall Building at 13 S. Fountain Ave.

George and Virginia moved back to Dayton in the mid-1940s where George worked as assistant general manager for McCall’s. Robert Klingbell joined the studio in the early-1940s and took over after Virginia moved to Dayton.
