Mechanicsburg High School’s director of information technology and student football players will hold an event to recycle old technology from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 and 13 at the high school, 60 High St.
Green Wave Computer Recycling, based in Indianapolis, will dispose of the electronic equipment in an environmentally responsible manner.
Proceeds will be used for the technology department and football team.
The following items will be accepted: A/C adapters, analyzers, audio/visual equipment, AV carts, batteries, calculators, cameras, cell phones, computers/laptops, computer components, copy machines, CRT monitors, DVD players, fax machines, ink/toner, keyboards, LCD monitors, medical devices, metal scraps, microwaves, printers, scanners, telephones, typewriters, vacuum cleaners, VHS players, wires, cables and cords.
No VHS tapes, CDs, DVDs, light bulbs, TVs, refrigerators or air conditioners will me accepted.
