ChalkFest
The sidewalks of National Road Commons Park, 21 Fisher St. in Springfield, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday will be transformed into art canvases.
Teams of residents will create masterpieces using chalk around the park and the grass areas will be filled with superhero scarecrows by Project Jericho. Chalk will be available at the event.
Attendees can enjoy live music, entertainers, food trucks, and chalk activities.

Pumpkin Festival
The annual Fall Farm Pumpkin Festival is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Young’s Jersey Dairy, 6880 Springfield Xenia Rd. in Yellow Springs.
Activities offered include pumpkin bowling and launching, pumpkin painting, cow milking demonstrations, pumpkin donut hole making, and cheese production tours.

Oktoberfest
The Sauerkraut German Band will host an Oktoberfest party, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, at Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co., 102 W. Columbia St. in Springfield.
Attendees can enjoy beer, German music, and food trucks.

Heritage of Flight Festival
The Heritage of Flight Festival is 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday on Main Street in New Carlisle.
Attendees can enjoy a classic car cruise-in, auctions, a parade, carnival rides, a bike show, food vendors, crafts, and live entertainment.

Balloon Fest
Champaign County’s Balloon Fest: A Hot Air Affair is 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Grimes Field Urbana Municipal Airport, 1636 N. Main St. Rt. 68 in Urbana.
This festival features food, live music, pizza eating contests, family activities, and hot air balloon launches.
The hot air balloons will “glow” each day at 7:30 p.m..

Urbana Oktoberfest
The Champaign County Historical Society will host Ocktoberfest 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Champaign County Historical Museum, 809 E. Lawn Ave. in Urbana.
Admission is $3 per person and children 10 and under are free with paying adult.
The event will feature live music and entertainment, food vendors, beer, and craft vendors.
