Holiday lights will adorn trees at 2 Greene County medical facilities this week

Trees adorned with holiday lights to celebrate the season at the Greene County medical facilities began Monday evening at Greene Memorial Hospital on North Monroe Drive in Xenia.

Greene Memorial also will be the place to donate men’s and women’s pajamas for Bridges of Hope, a shelter in the county that provides food and a place to sleep for those struggling with poverty, homelessness or addiction.

The tree lighting ceremony and activities was Tuesday at Soin Medical Center, on Pentagon Boulevard in Beavercreek.

Soin also will be the location for you to drop off food items for Feed the Creek, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing childhood hunger.

Santa will make a special appearance at both locations and greet children of all ages. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served. Children can write Santa a letter about their Christmas wishes and he will take the letters back to the North Pole.

Each ceremony will feature a live nativity and music from carolers.
