There are two A&W restaurants within Springfield, 2217 S. Limestone St. and 717 N. Limestone St.
Springfield has its own history tied to the drink as it was the founding location for Frostop root beer.

The original location is now a floral nursery located on 3683 S. Charleston Pike.
The root beer float, or “brown cow,”, was created in the late 1800’s and has been a summer staple ever since.
