Southeastern High School in Springfield was closed on Tuesday but it wasn’t directly due to the weather.
School officials said a motor locked up in the furnace causing it to fail. Maintenance crews were able to fix the problem, but officials thought it was best for the school to remain closed because it would take some time to reheat the building.
School is expected to be in session on Wednesday.
