“This tournament exists purely to help fund our at-risk youth programming,” Ray said. “This is a high energy, a lot of fun, enjoyable tournament and it has a greater purpose.”
The money from the event will be put toward a basketball tournament put on by the Salvation Army for at-risk kids. Ray said the basketball tournament is a positive experience and an avenue to reach those most vulnerable.

“We target the at-risk youth here in Springfield and Clark County,” he said.
The event is a fun way to help others, Ray said.
“$25 isn’t really a ton when you think about all that it is accomplishing,” he said. “It will also get you a couple hours of fun that is unique.

All players must be at least 15 years-old to compete. Ray said teams usually feature diverse athletic abilities and encourages anyone interested in playing to do so.
