‘I’m the local Krusty the Clown’: Chappelle talks Yellow Springs on ‘The Late Show’

Comedian Dave Chappelle talked about Yellow Springs and law enforcement during an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” that aired on CBS Wednesday night.

Chappelle compared Yellow Springs to a well-known cartoon sitcom.

“It’s like 'The Simpsons,’ you see the same people everyday and I’m like the local Krusty the Clown,” he said.

The comedian and actor also talked about an incident where Yellow Springs police clashed with residents during the village’s annual New Year’s Eve ball drop.

Chappelle appearance on “The Late Show” was not the first time the comedian has spoken out about the altercation between village police and and residents. Chappelle and other residents appeared at local meeting in March focused on village police’s actions during the village’s New Year’s Eve event.
