2. Hobby Lobby in Springfield remains closed Wednesday while other surrounding locations have reopened. The store at 2200 N. Bechtle Ave. location will remain closed until further notice The reopening of the stores is drawing criticism from some who say the store is defying Gov. Mike DeWine's order closing all "non-essential" businesses. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost ordered the stores to close again Wednesday night and said the company had agreed.

3. Clark and Champaign County farmers are not facing operational slowdowns, stops or layoffs as some industries from the COVID-19, or coronavirus pandemic, but they are making sanitary changes like everyone else and staying alert to the potential for a bigger impact on them this spring.

4. Several manufacturers in Springfield that have ties to the auto industry have temporarily suspended production into later in the month as the ongoing COVID-19 has put a strain on the supply chain as well as demand for those products. Companies such as Navistar and Topre America do not expect to resume full scale production in the area until at least later this month.

5. McGregor Metalworking Companies has implemented temporary layoffs at its facilities in Springfield. The company announced that many of its salary staff will be laid off for two weeks, and hourly personnel who have also been temporarily laid off are not expected to return to work until at least mid-April.
