Jennings said pushing the in-person start date back is due to a combination of considerations, including consultation with the Clark County Combined Health District, aspects of the school calendar and additional time.
“Even though circumstances can change, we are strongly committed to that March 1 date as the day when all students can return five days a week, eliminating the blended “A” and “B” group rotations,” he said.
Jennings added that families who want the all-virtual option can continue that format, and those that want to change from virtual to in-person or in-person to virtual are allowed to make those changes before March 1.
“We are now well into second semester and continue to do our best navigating the unprecedented circumstances that we have been faced with this year,” Jennings said. “There will certainly be additional challenges throughout the remainder of this school year and we are prepared to face them like we have since last March.”
