Gas prices have gone up in the Miami Valley over the last week, but prices are trending down as a new week begins.
Average retail gas prices in Dayton have risen 9.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.01 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.
This compares with the national average that has increased 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.06 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $1.99, but trending down. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $1.89 at multiple locations.
In Hamilton, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.03, but trending down. The cheapest gas is $1.89 at Sunoco at Main Street and Westbrook Drive.
In Springfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $1.99, but trending down. The cheapest gas is $1.87 at Marathon at Moorefield Road and Security Drive.
