Expect heightened security at today’s NFL games

Security will be heightened at NFL games today in the wake of the deadly attacks in Paris on Friday.

The NFL released a statement Saturday indicating the league is in communication with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI and there are no known threats against any NFL stadiums.

However, there will be increased security and law enforcement presence inside and outside the stadiums.

In addition, fans are advised to not bring bags, unless they are see-through bags no bigger than 12x6x12 inches, according to the release.

“The NFL and team security departments work closely with stadium operation personnel and federal, state, and local law enforcement to provide a safe experience for the more than 17 million fans who annually attend NFL games,” according to the NFL statement.
