5 destinations with cheap flights from area airports

Average airfares across the country are at the lowest they’ve been in more than two decades, and some airlines are offering extra cheap flight deals.

Here are five destinations from local airports that airlines are offering local travelers huge deals to book. The deals vary based on days of departure and arrival, but the right booking can mean one-way flights as low as $42.

1. The Carolinas

Travelers looking to fly to Charlotte, North Carolina can find airfare as low as $42 for a one-way ticket from Cincinnati on Allegiant. Allegiant will also fly from Columbus to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina for $88 one way.

2. Florida

Several Florida destinations will come cheap for area travelers. Dayton International Airport travelers can make it to Fort Myers for $73, Orlando for $75 and Tampa for $84.

Allegiant also offers flights from Columbus to Fort Lauderdale for $46 and Orlando for $50. Spirit airlines can get travelers from Columbus to Orlando for $41, Fort Lauderdale for $41, Fort Myers for $45 and Tampa for $62.

From Cincinnati to Destin/Fort Walton Beach could cost as low as $62, Fort Lauderdale as low as $61, Fort Myers at $61, and Tampa at $56 through Allegiant.

3. San Juan

Spirit fliers can fly from Columbus to San Juan for $108 one-way.

4. Texas

Spirit flights from Columbus to Dallas can be as cheap as $95 and even lower at $85 to Houston.

Allegiant will fly from Cincinnati to Austin for $42.

5. New Orleans

Allegiant flights from Cincinnati to New Orleans are as low as $53.
