Clark County coroner removes at least one body from Mad River Twp. house, deputies investigate

The Clark County Coroner’s Office removed at least one body from the scene of a sheriff’s office investigation Wednesday afternoon in Mad River Twp. near Enon.

Sheriff cruisers blocked off the street near the 8100 block of Gibson Avenue on Wednesday as two deputies were inside a house. Yellow tape was also seen in the front yard surrounding the house.

The coroner’s office responded to the scene around 1:15 p.m. Two gurneys were brought into the house and at least one body was removed.

Coroner’s office representatives left the scene, and about 2:30 p.m., the remaining sheriff’s cruisers also left the area.

It is not clear what the investigation has revealed at this time. One of the deputies on the scene would not give any information regarding the investigation, stating to call the sheriff’s office.

Several sheriff’s deputies, as well as coroner’s office representatives all, responded to the scene of the investigation.

The Springfield News-Sun has reached out to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office for more information regarding this investigation, and as of late Wednesday afternoon had not received a response.
