CORONAVIRUS: Frisch’s Big Boy in Urbana will not reopen

Frisch’s Big Boy in Urbana is among seven locations in Ohio and Kentucky that will not reopen due to the cornavirus pandemic.

“Like many restaurants across the nation, we’ve also been challenged to make difficult decisions for the overall good of our business,” the company said in a statement.

The statement explained that some restaurants will not reopen due to “the impact of the pandemic” and others will remain open for drive-thru and carryout only.

Other Frisch’s Big Boy locations not reopening include restaurants in Liberty Township, Marysville, Gahanna, Cincinnati and two in Louisville, Kentucky.

Team members at these locations were invited to join nearby Frisch’s Big Boy restaurants.

“We thank our communities for their continued support and invite you to make new memories with your family – and ours – as we move forward,” the company said.

The Frisch’s Big Boy in Urbana was located at 1228 Scioto St. The nearby Frisch’s Big Boy in Springfield, 1831 N. Bechtle Ave., is open for drive-thru, carryout and dine-in services.
