A Tornado Warning previously issued for Clark and Greene counties has been canceled.

After a mostly clear, warm and humid start to the day, strong to severe storms are possible for southwest Ohio, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

An incoming cold front also will bring cooler, drier air behind the wave of showers and thunderstorms.

In a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the NWS on this morning, isolated storms could produce strong winds and large hail.

“Strong to severe storms will be possible late this afternoon into the evening hours associated with a vigorous cold front. Damaging winds and large hail are the primary threats,” the outlook said. “Stay weather aware today!”

The forecast shows rain chances rising throughout the day, but especially during the late afternoon and evening, with peak storm times coming just after dark before quickly trailing off in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Otherwise, temperatures today will be very warm with a high of around 78 degrees, though the cold front will cause lows to drop to around 43 degrees.

On Saturday, it will be partly sunny and cool, with a high near 53 degrees.

Saturday night will start out mostly clear, though clouds are expected to gather throughout the night and into Sunday morning. Overnight lows will again be cold at around 40 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of showers starting in mid afternoon and slowly building through Sunday night. Temperatures will again be cool, with a high around 55 degrees during the day, which will fall to around 49 degrees overnight.
