Clark County deputies getting body cameras

By the end of April, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office will have 60 body cameras in use daily on the streets of Clark County.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office made a vow in 2015 to use body cameras to ensure transparency with the public in the work deputies do.

The sheriff’s office is now rolling out the cameras after a delay in getting them due to a high demand around the country.

The cameras are not only to ensure the public of truth and transparency but can also be an important tool to protect deputies, said Lt. Dusty White.
