DJ 2nd Nature will perform a three-hour video set at Atmosphere Nightclub on Friday, Aug. 21. The Atlanta, Ga.,-based DJ (real name, Brett Belcastro, 33) recently remixed the videos for the Rock the Bells summer tour featuring artists Nas and Damian Marley, Big Boi, Damien Marley, Ice Cube, The Roots, House of Pain and Busta Rhymes.
He also has been co-producing with cellist and singer Ben Sollee. One of their projects was Sollee’s song “A Few Honest Words” using footage of President Obama. He has remixed movie trailers for New Line Cinema as well.
“I’ve kinda got my hands in everything,” said 2nd Nature, who uses a variety of music genres including dance, house, hip hop, R&B and rock in conjunction with music videos, movie clips and YouTube clips. He books about four to eight shows a month.
Saturday’s event is 21 and older and sponsored by Pioneer, said Tony DeSaro of KATE Worldwide, which booked the event.
