Jeff Schmitt Auto Group attains Motor Trend certification

Jeff Schmitt Auto Group was bestowed an honor last week by Motor Trend magazine.

The Fairborn-based auto group is now the Miami Valley’s only Motor Trend Certified program provider. This program, launched by Motor Trend, partners with EasyCare, a warranty protection provider.

According to Larry Dorfman, chief executive of EasyCare, the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group was chosen to be the only Dayton-area dealership to offer the certification, and one of only 100 in the nation based upon exit interviews with Jeff Schmitt Auto Group customers.

Steve Vangorder, general manager of Jeff Schmitt Auto Group, said the Motor Trend certification will enhance the buying experience for all their customers.

“It provides a third- party assurance through the respected Motor Trend brand and expands our reach as a dealership by offering consumers a certification program applicable to all manufacturer brands in the used vehicle market,” he said.

According to Ira Gabriel, former publisher of Motor Trend and now national program manager of the certified program for EasyCare, the consumer wins because the certification is essentially a promise of quality.

“EasyCare stands behind the customer, so they don’t have to fear unexpected repair costs. It’s a better way to buy a better car,” he said.

All Motor Trend Certified vehicles are covered with a 24-hour concierge service. This service provides a live person available via a phone call to answer any question the consumer may have. Additionally, all vehicles are protected from unsightly dents and dings with the EasyCare dent repair service. And through the EasyCare KeyCare program, customers who lose their keys or key fobs, or lock them in their cars, have access to quick assistance. During the official ribbon cutting last week at Jeff Schmitt Chevrolet in Miamisburg, Gabriel said one of the most appealing aspects of the Motor Trend Certified program is the mechanical repair coverage.

“Every Motor Trend Certified pre-owned vehicle includes at least six months of mechanical repair coverage, so you can feel confident you won’t be faced with unexpected repair costs.”
