Wesbanco to close New Carlisle branch

Wesbanco Inc.’s New Carlisle branch will close at the end of the month. Wesbanco corporate officials did not return calls for comment, but branch employees confirmed the closing.

After Wesbanco’s closing, the city will have a Security National Bank branch and New Carlisle Federal Savings.

“We’re always sorry to see a business close,” said Kimberly Jones, New Carlisle city manager. “Customers will have to go further to use one of their branches. I hate that our citizens have to be inconvenienced.”
