Sunday: A storm system will pass to the south, bringing scattered snow showers. As temperatures climb in the afternoon, some rain may mix with snow south of Interstate 70 before transitioning to snow. Snow totals will range between 2 and 4 inches with some lesser amounts in areas north of Dayton.

“The bulk of the snow will fall during the daytime hours, and with temperatures above freezing, road conditions should be in decent shape,” Vrydaghs said.

“After sunset road conditions will become slick, but the snow will already have begun to taper off.”

A few flurries or an isolated snow shower may linger into the evening. Highs will reach the lower 30s in the afternoon, then quickly drop into the 20s after sunset. Refreeze will be a problem overnight.
