About Wright State: The Raiders are coming off a 73-54 loss at Murray State, the defending Ohio Valley Conference champ. They shot 38 percent from the field (including 3-of-18 on 3s), allowed the Racers to shoot 54 percent and were out-rebounded, 41-25. … They’ve given up 73 points in their first two games after finishing last season as one of the best defensive teams in the nation. They allowed 65.9 points per game, which was first in the Horizon League and 29th out of 351 Division-I teams. They gave up 72, 53 and 57 points while sweeping three games in the conference tournament and advancing to the NCAA tourney last year. … Love leads the team with 7.0 rebounds per game, while Gentry is first in assists at 5.5 and steals at 3.5. … Freshman Skyelar Potter, a 6-3 guard, is averaging 8.5 points and shooting 45.5 percent from the field.

About Toledo: The Rockets won at Oakland, 87-86, in their opener and notched a 41-point win over Wilberforce. … They’re shooting 55.8 percent from the field and 81.1 from the foul line. … Chris Darrington, a 6-1 senior guard, is averaging 10.5 points off the bench. … They finished 23-11 last season, losing at home to Wright State, 77-69. They won the MAC West Division crown and advanced to the conference title game for the second time in five years. Sanford and Jackson made the all-tournament team. … They were picked to finish third in the West this year. They received five first-place votes (out of 35) in the preseason poll and were picked as overall conference champs on three ballots. Sanford was a preseason first-team All-MAC West pick. The Evansville, Ind., native has started all 102 games in his career and was a second-team all-league honoree last year.
