Hughes, a 6-foot-4 guard from Youngstown, will team with Detroit guard Josh McFolley and Northern Kentucky forward/center Drew McDonald. They play a team from the Big Sky Conference at 8:50 p.m. Friday and then a team from the Big Ten at 11:50 a.m. Saturday. They play an Ivy League team at 3:20 p.m. Saturday.
Hughes averaged 9.3 points as a senior and scored 863 points in four seasons with the Raiders.
The teams, made up of seniors from every Division I conference, will compete for $150,000 in prize money. The champions win $100,000.

After pool play on Friday and Saturday, the top 16 teams advance to a tournament format. The round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, championship game and consolation game will be played Sunday. The semifinals, championship game and consolation game will be televised on ESPN2 starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.
A Big Ten team featuring Purdue’s Vincent Edwards, Ohio State’s Jae’Sean Tate, Minnesota’s Nate Mason and Indiana’s Robert Johnson won the first tournament in 2018. The A-10 team did not make it out of group play.
