Would ‘Chosen Rosen’ save the Browns?

The Browns have a clear path to the No. 1 pick. Again.

Cleveland wasn’t competitive in a blowout to the Texans on Sunday. It’s 0-6 with difficult final 10 games awaiting. San Francisco is also 0-6, though it’s looked like an NFL team most weeks.

With the Browns showing no signs of life, they top almost every mock draft. DeShone Kizer, the team’s second-round pick at quarterback, was benched for Kevin Hogan, who tossed three picks. Quarterback may need addressing with an elite prospect.

Bleacher Report’s latest mock draft gives the Browns UCLA signal caller Josh Rosen with the first pick. Rosen is enigmatic on and off the field, but boasts potential few Browns quarterbacks have had since 1999.

Rosen, similar to Jameis Winston and DeShaun Watson before him, is a high variance player. He’ll make questionable throws, commit some ugly turnovers, but the highs typically make up for the lows. There have been rumored off-field questions about Rosen that will need to be answered, but he’s a lock for the top 10, especially if USC’s Sam Darnold stays in school.
