UD women beat Louisville, face UConn in Elite Eight

The University of Dayton women's basketball team defeated Louisville 82-66 to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament Saturday for the first time in school history.

Andrea Hoover scored 26 points and had five rebounds and five assists. She was 15-of-15 from the free throw line. UD's defense held Louisville to 32-percent shooting.

The Flyers will play No. 1 seed and two-time defending national champion UConn on Monday at 7 p.m. The game is on ESPN.
