It was a close game until the final minutes. Wittenberg held a 66-65 lead with 4:22 to play. Connor Seipel made 1 of 2 free throws at that point. Jake Bertemes then made two free throws with 3:52 to play.
Baskets by Seipel and Landon Martin continued the run as the Tigers stretched the lead to 73-65 with 2:27 to go.

Wittenberg (23-1, 16-1) clinched the North Coast Athletic Conference championship Saturday with an 88-81 victory against Wooster (18-6, 12-5) and now leads the conference by four games with one game to play. The Tigers close the regular season at home at 3 p.m. Saturday against Hiram (7-17, 4-13).

Bertemes led Wittenberg with 19 points against Wabash (16-8, 12-5). Seipel scored 17 and had 12 rebounds and five assists. James Johnson had 13 points. Martin scored 10.
Wittenberg shot 49.1 percent from the field and outscored Wabash 18-8 at the free-throw line.
The Tigers completed a season sweep of Wabash. They won the first game 84-74 on Jan. 15.
