Week 4 Roundup: Record-setting night for Conley as Mechanicsburg rolls to 4-0

Mechanicsburg High School junior quarterback Aaron Conley threw for a school-record 303 yards and four touchdowns as the Indians cruised to a 40-7 victory at Northeastern in an Ohio Heritage Conference North Division game on Friday night in Springfield.

The previous school record was held by Andy Huffman, who threw for 300 yards in 2007.

Conley went 19-for-29 in the game, hitting senior wideout Keith Bebout five times for 160 yards and two TDs. He also threw TD passes to Danny Mascadri and Hayden DeLong.

Chayse Propst and Gabe Chandler each rushed for TDs for the Indians, who improved to 4-0 and 3-0 in the OHC North.

Northeastern’s Cade Houseman scored the lone TD for the Jets on a 4-yard run in the second quarter. Northeastern fell to 1-3 and 0-3 in the OHC North.

The Indians host Fairbanks in Week 5 in a battle of unbeaten OHC squads. Northeastern travels to West Liberty-Salem next Friday.

Fairbanks 35, Triad 21: The Panthers led 21-0 after the first quarter and held on to improve to 4-0 and 3-0 in the OHC North.

Triad’s Coleman Hauck went 17-for-28 for 238 yards and a TD and rushed for a two-yard score for the Cardinals (2-2, 1-2 OHC North). Ayden Sanford caught a 59-yard TD pass and Isiah Leisure recovered a blocked punt for a TD for the Cardinals, who pulled to within seven points twice, but were unable to tie the score.

Fairbanks' Brogan Green rushed for 203 yards and a TD for the Panthers.

West Jefferson 44, West Liberty-Salem 20: Tyler Buescher went 22-for-24 for 389 yards and four TDs for West Jefferson, who outscored the Tigers 37-7 in the second and third quarters.

West Liberty-Salem’s Nick Burden returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a TD. Quarterback Christian Griffith had two TDs for the Tigers, including an 8-yard TD pass to Isaiah McGill.

The Tigers are 2-2 and 1-2 in the OHC North. West Jefferson is 3-1 and 2-1 in the division.

Greeneview 35, Catholic Central 7: Carter Williams, Logan Sandlin and Rylan Hurst all ran for TDs as the Rams improved to 3-1 and 3-0 in the OHC South Division. Carter Dehaven also threw a TD pass to Kristopher Phillips for Greeneview.

Catholic Central’s Ashton Young scored on a 75-yard run for the Irish (0-4, 0-3 OHC South). The Irish travel to Cedarville next week.

Greenon 45, Cedarville 0: Evan Davis threw three TD passes, including two to Bass Moore and another to Clay Hough as the Knights improved to 3-1 and 3-0 in OHC South.

Trevor Stewart rushed for two TDs and Kameron Cox also rushed for a score for the Knights. Nathan Hawks hit a 22-yard FG for Greenon, which hosts Southeastern next Friday night.

Jonathan Alder 31, Tecumseh 10: The Pioneers' Will Heisler rushed 18 times for 96 yards and three TDs in the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail Division victory.

JT Keith went 23-for-32 for 276 yards and a TD as Jonathan Alder improved to 4-0 and 3-0 in the division. They travel to Shawnee next Friday night.

Sophomore Braden Berner returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and Noah Shafer kicked a 33-yard field goal for the Arrows (1-3, 0-3 CBC Kenton Trail).

Graham 48, Urbana 14: Brady King threw for 282 yards and four TDs as the Falcons improved to 4-0 and 3-0 in the CBC Mad River. Graham’s Jason Howard rushed for 138 yards and two TDs and Zach Vanscoy caught five passes for 205 yards and two scores in the victory.

Bellefontaine 26, Kenton Ridge 20: The Chieftains' Ethan Moore hit Collin Dietsch on a 36-yard TD in the fourth quarter and Bellefontaine held on to improve to 2-2 and 1-2 in the CBC Kenton Trail. Kenton Ridge fell to 0-4 and 0-3 in the division.

North Union 22, Northwestern 7: The Warriors fell to 1-3 and 1-2 in the CBC Mad River Division.

Madison Plains 28, Southeastern 7: The Trojans fell to 1-3 and 1-2 in the OHC South.
