Coming in, the Reds had lost 14 straight to the Mets. Going out, they’d won two of three, with Robert Stephenson pitching them to victory in the rubber game.

Stephenson won his third start in a row on Thursday. He’s had a promising August - something the Reds wanted to see as they figure out their rotation of the future.
