The Houston Texans waived wide receiver Braxton Miller on Friday.
Miller, a 2016 third-round pick who graduated from Wayne High School and Ohio State, caught 34 passes and two touchdowns in two seasons.
Miller had 11 catches for 122 yards in the preseason. The Texans have to get to the 53-man roster limit on Saturday.
"We're still working through some things," Texans coach Bill O'Brien told the Houston Chronicle before the official news of Miller’s release was announced. "Braxton's an improved player, no doubt about it and we'll see what happens."
