See where the bracket experts have Wright State slotted

While Wright State lost sole possession of first place in the Horizon League with Thursday night’s loss at Cleveland State, the Raiders are still the team holding the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament in the eyes of the bracket experts.

That’s because WSU (18-7 overall, 10-2 HL) owns a head-to-head victory against Northern Kentucky, the team with which it is tied atop the standings.

A new round of bracket predictions came out Monday following the weekend games, and two sites have Wright State seeded 15th, while another has the Raiders 14th.

Both ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and CBS’ Jerry Palm have WSU seeded 15th and slotted to face No. 2 Auburn in a first-round game in Nashville.

Sports Illustrated also has WSU facing Auburn in a 2-15 matchup, but the site doesn’t predict where games will be played.

The eight first-round sites are Boise, Charlotte, Dallas, Detroit, Nashville, San Diego, Pittsburgh and Wichita.

The Bracketville website has the Raiders seeded 14th and pitted against No. 3 Michigan State in Detroit (in the same Little Caesars Arena where WSU will compete in the HL tournament).

The Sporting News projects the Raiders as a 14 seed, but the site doesn’t project specific matchups. Its four No. 3 seeds are Michigan State, Wichita State, Xavier and North Carolina.

Speaking of Xavier, Lunardi and Palm have the Musketeers listed as a No. 1 seed. Both men have Cincinnati as a 3.

As for Ohio State, Lunardi has the Buckeyes as a 4, while Palm puts them in as a 6.
