HS Roundup 2/27: Nauseef scores 21, CJ boys knock off Bellbrook

The #6 seed Chaminade Julienne boys basketball team knocked off #3 seed Bellbrook, 56-45.

Jack Nauseef led the scoring effort for CJ, netting 21 points on the night and sinking four from the three point line.

Milton Gage tacked on 10 points and Dominic Wilcox 9 in the sectionals victory.

Donnie Crouch tallied 17 points for Bellbrook, while Hayden Greene and Jack Campbell chipped in 13 each.

Chaminade Julienne moves on to face Alter, Sunday, March 4th at UD Arena.

Sectional Tournament

Centerville 63, Northmont 52: Donnie Shelton shot for 14 points for Centerville in the win. Danny Lewis paced all scorers with 16 for Northmont.

Alter 60, Badin 49: Derek Willits tacked 15 points onto his season total in the D-II victory over Alter. Sam Mathews netted 13 points in the losing effort.

West Liberty-Salem 52, Greeneview 40: Max Eggleston put up 11 points in the WLS victory. Nick Clevenger countered with 13 in the ‘View loss.

Versailles 66, Milton-Union 23: Justin Ahrens scored a game-high 21 points in the Versailles victory, scoring his 2,000th career point in the process.

Russia 61, Lehman Catholic 35: Jack Depore poured in 20 points in the Russia victory. Elliot Gilardi had 13 in the loss.

Emmanuel Christian 70, Franklin Monroe 54: Emmanuel Christian pulled off the upset and advanced to face Tri-Village.

New Knoxville 40, Allen East 28: Jonah Lageman netted 15 points in the D-IV victory.

Waynesfield-Goshen 66, Ada 55: Loyton Campbell erupted for 20 points in the win.

Girls Basketball

Sectional Tournament

Waynesville 59, Milton-Union 29: Rachel Murray and Marcella Sizer combined for 30 points in the D-III victory. Kristen Dickison put up 15 of her own in the loss.

Covington 56, Franklin Monroe 44: Jordan Crowell shot for 20 points in the Covington victory. Kennedy Morris and Audrey Cable combined for 24 in the loss.

Tri-Village 56, Newton 41: Trisa Porter paced all scorers with 18 point in the D-IV sectional victory. Anna Wolfe countered with 15 for Newton in the loss.
