HS Roundup 4/18: Kohr delivers walk-off hit for Northmont

Northmont baseball edged Lebanon 2-1 in extra innings on Wednesday after Jason Kohr drove in Adam Bendinelli in the bottom of the eighth inning for a walk-off victory.

Bendinelli also had the game-tying RBI in the sixth inning for Northmont.

Austin Harrison plated the lone run for Lebanon in the second inning.

Baseball

Springboro 12, Miamisburg 5: Tyler Kean doubled, drove in four runs and scored three times for Springboro and Jake D’Amico had two hits with two RBI. Aaron Burns plated a pair of runs and Joey Yerkins tripled for Miamisburg.

Monroe 2, Edgewood 0: Chad Rolph pitched a complete game shutout to move to 3-0 and Jacob Watkins went 2-for-3 to pace Monroe.

Tecumseh 3, Tri-County North 1: Brett Garrett threw a one-hitter and Will Sowder doubled and drove in all three runs for Tecumseh.

Kenton Ridge 5, Jonathan Alder 4: Calvin Dibert struck out eight and plated a pair of runs to pace Kenton Ridge. Bailey Armentrout added the save and Quinton Roach went 4-for-4 at the plate.

Ross 5, Northwest 3: Andrew Beebe tallied two hits and brought in three runs while Montana Allgaier earned the win to improve to 3-0 for Ross, which moved to 12-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Miami East 5, Mississinawa Valley 3: East scored twice in the fifth inning and added an insurance run in the seventh to pull off the rally victory.

Anna 8, Fairlawn 4: Zach White, Aidan Endsley and Andrew Scully each collected a pair of hits and Jared Seigle drove in two runs to help Anna move to 4-0 in conference play.

Lima Central Catholic 4, St. Henry 3: St. Henry stranded ten runners in the extra-inning loss.

Softball

Lebanon 11, Northmont 0: Kat Frank picked up the win and Grace Gressly and Ashleigh Riffle both went yard to lead unbeaten Lebanon. D.J. Shepherd and Marissa Bardonaro had doubles for Northmont.

Miamisburg 10, Springboro 0: Hannah Wright tossed a complete game shutout and Akshatha Bharadwaj, Emily Kepple and Mackenzie Frantz each had multiple hits for Miamisburg.

Fairfield 10, Hamilton 0: Rhiana Hubbard and Jordan Shotwell each homered and had three RBI for Fairfield and Taylor Delk picked up the win on the mound in a six inning shutout. Mya Halcomb had two hits for Hamilton.

Fenwick 2, Alter 0: Rachel Berling struck out 10 in a complete game shutout while Abby Gustely had a 3-for-3 day with a triple and a run scored for Fenwick.

Monroe 5, Wilmington 0: Alyssa Wagner punched out 14 batters to improve to 8-1 for Monroe. Sam Schwab hit her fifth home run and Faith Hensley, Sam Ross, Mikayla Decker and Wagner each had a double.

Franklin 4, Brookville 1: Olivia Kelly doubled and drove in three runs, Brooke Stover had a double and one RBI and Shelby Raby earned the win on the mound for Franklin.

Eaton 7, Valley View 1: Carsyn Lammers excelled in her first varsity appearance, going 3-for-4 with an RBI for Eaton. Annika Gels struck out nine to pick up the win and Emily Dungan added two RBI.

Kenton Ridge 4, Jonathan Alder 3: Peyton Fleming singled in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth to help Kenton Ridge remain unbeaten at 9-0.

Graham 11, Ben Logan 1: Grace Deardurff recorded the lone RBI for Ben Logan in a resumed game from April 6.

Ross 9, Northwest 1: Kaitlyn Justice blasted a grand slam, Kenzie Meyer plated three runs and Emily Poling added three hits to lead Ross.

Miami East 10, Mississinawa Valley 8: Paxton Scholl and Taydem Elson each hit a homer in a losing effort for Mississinawa.

Ansonia 14, Twin Valley South 0: Trinity Henderson helped nail down the shutout and earn the victory for Ansonia.

Triad 13, Catholic Central 1: Audrey Lightle and Kendall Hughes tallied two hits and a triple apiece for Triad.

Boys Tennis

Middletown 3, Northwest 2: Sean Ramsey, Deniz Misirlioglu and Dylan Bunch each tallied singles victories for Middletown.

Badin 3, Ross 2: Chris Hetterich won a three set match in third singles and Badin swept the doubles matches. Zac Duggins and Spencer Wallace had singles wins for Ross.

Monroe 3, Franklin 2: Westin Triplett won in straight sets and Monroe swept the doubles matches to earn the victory. Nathan Rudd and Austin Woods had singles wins for Franklin.

Brookville 4, Madison 1: Jeremy Penick, Tagen Williamson and Tanner Marburger swept the singles matches for Brookville, with Williamson winning in straight sets.

Valley View 5, Trotwood 0: Justin DeVilbiss, Ben Holbrook and Ian Barnett each had a singles win for Valley View.

Preble Shawnee 4, Lebanon 1: Pierce Elliott, Luke Feck and Allison Zornes swept the singles matches for Preble, with Feck winning in straight sets.

Tecumseh 3, Springfield 2: Mitchell Foland, Drew Sarihan and Jacob Lewis all had singles wins, with Lewis winning in straight sets, to help Tecumseh improve to 9-0.

Miami Valley 5, Chaminade Julienne 0: Colton Morehart and Niyanth Reddy earned straight set singles victories to help Miami Valley move to 8-0.

Lehman Catholic 3, Greenville 2: Griffin West and Ryan Goettemoeller picked up singles victories to lead Lehman Catholic to a fourth consecutive victory.

Northeastern 5, Greeneview 0: Northeastern won all five matches to improve to 5-0.

Boys Volleyball

Carroll 3, Mason 0: Braden Hawkes recorded a career-high 27 digs and Spencer Bethel added 34 assists with 13 digs for Carroll.
