Miamisburg eliminated Vandalia by a score of 14-4 in a Wednesday softball sectional game.

Carrina Butler jump-started the Miamisburg offense with a two-run homer in the first inning.

MacKenzie Frantz finished 3-for-3 with three RBI and Akshatha Bharadwaj and Ashley and Abbey Haas each had a pair of hits for ‘Burg.


Wayne 3, Northmont 1: Dylan Donchez struck out five in a complete game outing, adding two hits and a RBI to pace Wayne in this regular season game. Cole Stephens had a double for Northmont.

Madison 3, Alter 2: Reid Davis drove in two runs as Madison rallied in the bottom of the sixth inning to get the sectional win. Ethan Limon struck out seven to earn the win. Jacob Meyer tallied nine strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a RBI in a losing effort for Alter.

Tecumseh 11, Graham 5: Reid Hale went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored along with picking up the win to pace Tecumseh in a regular season game.

Tri-Village 7, Catholic Central 6: Despite a three-run rally in the final inning, Tri-Village came away with the win. Luke Wheeler plated a pair of runs for TV.

Northeastern 8, Greeneview 1: Alex Lockwood doubled and drove in four and Aaron Phillips was the winning pitcher for Northeastern in this sectional game.


Northmont 7, Wayne 4: Sydney Weaver homered and notched the win to lead Northmont in the sectional game. Makaila Foy had a home run for Wayne.

Edgewood 4, Hamilton 2: Erin Robinson’s two-run homer in the fifth inning broke a 2-2 tie and was the difference in this sectional. Sam Davis notched the win, striking out ten while scattering nine hits.

Ross 15, Norwood 0: Alley Ivey doubled twice, Haley Grau homered and Kenzie Meyer threw a perfect game for Ross in a sectional.

Badin 5, East Clinton 1: Maddie Curtner doubled and drove in two and Shelby Schmitt and Lauren Moser each added a double in Badin’s sectional win.

Boys Volleyball

Alter 3, Carroll 0: Alter improved to 12-0 in conference play, clinching a Greater Catholic League Co-Ed title.
